Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of overall experience as a Systems Engineer
  • At least 3+ years working with AWS cloud solutions or C#, Java, or Python, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and messaging technologies (SQS, SNS)
  • Experience with containerization technologies: EKS, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Proficiency with JUnit (JUnit 5 preferred) and automated testing
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe development environments
  • Comfortable working directly with customers for requirements, demos, beta support, and installation coordination
  • Active Top Secret Clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Git, GitLab, and Jira
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with gRPC
  • Experience with AWS services such as SWF/Step Functions and Lambda
  • Background in PostgreSQL schema design and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of Python or ReactJS for internal tools or integrations
  • Experience supporting beta programs or mission‑critical systems
  • Prior technical lead experience or participation in architecture discussions
  • Exposure to large‑scale data processing, analytics, or high‑volume environments
  • Current SAFe Agile Software Engineer (ASE) Certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop Java microservices using C#, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST, and gRPC
  • Build scalable AWS‑based services using SQS, SNS, Lambda, SWF/Step Functions, and cloud‑native architectures
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews, multimodule planning, and solution development
  • Conduct research, create prototypes, and perform feasibility analyses for new features and modernization initiatives
  • Develop and optimize PostgreSQL‑backed data services and schemas
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Maven, Git, and GitLab
  • Containerize and deploy applications using EKS with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Write unit, integration, and system tests using JUnit 5; support release and beta testing cycles
  • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and integration issues across the full stack
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and customers on requirements, demos, installations, and solution alignment
  • Document APIs, architecture diagrams, deployment processes, and runbooks
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members
  • Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
