Systems Engineer (Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure)
About The Position
Sentinel Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure, administering Microsoft 365 services, supporting hybrid environments, and managing server infrastructure. The position also includes security and compliance responsibilities, such as supporting security solutions and implementing best practices for identity and access management. Additionally, the role provides Tier 2/3 technical support, troubleshoots issues, and assists with system upgrades and patching. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in projects like cloud migrations are key aspects of this position. Requirements
- 5–6+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud, or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / O365 administration
- Hands-on experience with Windows server environments
- Experience with cloud architecture and infrastructure design
- Exposure to security practices and tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice To Haves
- Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or similar)
- Exposure to enterprise security tools and frameworks
- Relevant certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.) are a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS)
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 (O365) including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Support hybrid environments integrating cloud and on-premise systems
- Manage server infrastructure across Windows environments
- Support and maintain security solutions (including OTS security tools)
- Implement best practices for identity, access, and cloud security
- Assist in maintaining compliance, data protection, and system integrity
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support across infrastructure systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud, server, and network environments
- Support Active Directory, DNS, and related services
- Assist with system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives
- Participate in projects including cloud migrations and system deployments
