About The Position

The Systems Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting a mid-large-scale Windows infrastructure. This role involves configuring, administering, and supporting enterprise-scale Windows Server environments across various platforms including on-premise, physical, virtual, VMware, Citrix, and Nutanix. The engineer will ensure system stability, performance, and security, monitor system health using tools like LogicMonitor, and respond to urgent support cases, including after-hours incidents, to maintain uninterrupted operations in mission-critical environments. The position also includes participating in infrastructure planning, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing security best practices, and assisting with or leading technical projects such as server migrations or cloud integration. Optimization of system performance through maintenance and updates, along with patch management, are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience managing mid-large Windows Server environments.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, SQL, and VMware virtualization.
  • Knowledge of Windows security hardening, patching, and upgrades.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated individual passionate about emerging technologies and continuous self-learning.

Responsibilities

  • Configures, administers and supports enterprise‑scale Windows Server environments across on‑premise, physical, virtual, VMware, Citrix, and Nutanix platforms, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
  • Monitors the health and performance of the systems using monitoring tools (LogicMonitor).
  • Responds to urgent and escalated support cases, including after‑hours and weekend incidents—to maintain uninterrupted operations in mission‑critical environments.
  • Participates in infrastructure planning, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives to enhance system reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support production systems, resolve complex issues.
  • Implements security best practices, including antivirus solutions, encryption, and secure authentication mechanisms.
  • Assists with or lead technical projects, such as server migrations, new software implementations, or cloud integration.
  • Optimizes system performance through regular maintenance, updates, and improvements.
  • Manages patch management.
  • Performs other duties as required.
