About The Position

Cardone Training Technologies, Inc. (CTTI) is looking for a Systems Engineer to support, plan, and engineer the infrastructure that keeps our business running. This person owns the security, monitoring, implementation, and design of our hardware and software environment, and partners across departments to drive technology initiatives forward. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of IT concepts, practices, and procedures, and uses sound judgment and experience to help the IT team meet department and company goals. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who takes ownership and wants to get things done right the first time.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field and/or 4+ years of hands-on experience in systems or infrastructure engineering.
  • Active Directory administration experience.
  • Virtualization experience (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Working knowledge of network equipment and operations (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including Office 365 and Windows desktop and server management.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems including servers, desktops, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and design.
  • Knowledge of system implementation methods for new builds and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Strong project management, time management, and problem-management skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze facts, define problems, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to guide and mentor others on the team.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Server maintenance and support (on-prem and virtual)
  • Backup methodologies and software (e.g., Veeam).
  • Telecommunications concepts and equipment (e.g., VoIP phone systems).
  • Mac desktop/laptop and Apple device administration.
  • Experience supporting a high-volume Production Operations environment.
  • Cisco Meraki networking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical liaison between IT and business departments, translating operational needs into systems initiatives that move the company forward.
  • Plan, design, and engineer the organization's systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and supporting hardware and software.
  • Monitor system health, respond to and resolve critical alerts, and own incidents through to resolution with minimal business disruption.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and deploy new systems, software releases, upgrades, and patches; troubleshoot and resolve related issues.
  • Lead the implementation of new deployments and maintain clear, current documentation for every change.
  • Recommend and help shape overall platform architecture to meet current and future business needs.
  • Lead and participate in compliance audits and in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) planning and testing.
  • Maintain records, documentation, runbooks, and technical correspondence to a high standard.
  • Participate in the evaluation of requests for IT hardware, software, and services, including vendor assessment.
  • Build and maintain monitoring systems, vendor-supplied packages, utilities, scripts, and other technical tooling.
  • Communicate the purpose and proper use of new or modified systems to end users and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide other team members, and cross-train within the department to ensure business continuity.
  • Take on additional duties consistent with the successful operation of the department and the business as assigned by management.
