About The Position

Parsons is looking for Systems Engineers at a variety of levels to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in interacting with customers to develop requirements for Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) solutions, and then developing, integrating, and delivering those systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or similar experience in a STEM field with specific, recent experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Junior: 2+ years of experience or 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Journeyman: 5+ years of experience or 11+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Senior: 8+ years of experience or 14+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Lead: Master's degree and 10+ years of experience or 16+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • US citizenship is a requirement for position consideration.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing custom software algorithms and applications.
  • Familiarity with implementing hardware and software interfaces based on Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and/or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
  • Experience in designing, testing, debugging, and documenting software.
  • Ability to work locally full time or hybrid in our Summit Point, WV CUAS Integration and Test Facility (1 hour outside DC / Northern Virginia).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with hardware.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following disciplines: CUAS, Electronic Warfare (EW), Command & Control (C2), Radars, EOIR/Cameras and/or Communications Electronics.
  • Experience working with or developing Geospatial Systems and processing/transforming geospatial data.
  • Ability to mentor peers and share knowledge effectively.
  • Familiarity with Java software development.
  • Experience with Atlassian Products & GIT.
  • Experience with Docker, Swing, React.
  • Expertise in AI/ML algorithm development and training.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with customers, including Department of War (DoW), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DoS) federal and local law enforcement, and civilian agencies to determine their CUAS needs and recommend optimized CUAS system configurations.
  • Meeting with CUAS Sensor and Effector providers to quantify the performance of their systems.
  • Supporting the integration of CUAS sensors, effectors, and other Command & Control (C2) / information sharing systems, including Team Awareness Kit (TAK), with Parsons' DroneArmor CUAS C2 Software Product.
  • Helping the team define, prioritize, and implement new features and capabilities in the DroneArmor C2 Software Product line based on customer feedback and strategic planning.
  • Planning for and executing participation in various customer and internal marketing demonstrations, exercises, and CUAS test events.
  • Supporting the team's Training, Sustainment, and Support activities for fielded systems.
