About The Position

DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a highly capable Systems Engineer to support the design, implementation, integration, and optimization of technologies that enable mission success across defense and intelligence programs. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys evaluating emerging technologies, improving operational processes, and ensuring technical solutions align with organizational objectives. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping identify and implement new capabilities while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, workflows, and business processes. This position also plays a key role in supporting Agile operations and administering Atlassian tools that enable collaboration, planning, execution, and knowledge management across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience evaluating software tools, platforms, or technical solutions for organizational use.
  • Experience supporting system integration efforts across multiple technologies or business functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, system designs, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering or supporting Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or other Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with enterprise software platforms, cloud technologies, or collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with automation, workflow design, and business process optimization.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, compliance standards, and secure system design.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other federal mission environments.
  • Professional certifications such as: AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, Atlassian Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+, SAFe Certifications, Other relevant technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable systems supporting organizational and mission objectives.
  • Research emerging technologies, tools, platforms, and industry best practices to support innovation and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop technology evaluations, comparison matrices, and cost-benefit analyses to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical requirements and evaluate solution compatibility with existing environments.
  • Design and execute integration strategies that align new technologies with established systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integrations, performance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze existing business and technical processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with process owners and stakeholders to optimize workflows through technology adoption and automation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Agile project management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
  • Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, dashboards, permissions, and automation rules.
  • Develop and maintain Confluence spaces that support documentation, collaboration, knowledge management, and process standardization.
  • Train and support users on Agile tools, workflows, and best practices.
  • Monitor tool utilization and performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Integrate Atlassian products with enterprise systems and third-party platforms where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, integrations, evaluations, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Support strategic planning efforts through technical research and recommendations on future technology investments.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $115,000 – $165,000 annually
  • Compensation may vary based on experience, certifications, technical expertise, clearance status, and mission requirements.
  • Candidates with advanced systems engineering experience, Atlassian administration expertise, cloud certifications, or active security clearances may be considered above the listed range.
