About The Position
Smart Design is seeking a mid-level or senior systems engineer for a temp-to-perm role. This position will involve working on one or two client projects, starting as soon as possible (June 2026) for an initial period of 3-6 months. The role has the potential to transition to full-time employment.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Git
- Experience with circuit design
- Familiarity with embedded systems, circuits, microcontrollers and sensors
- Experience with PCB layout using Altium
- Experience with DFMA for electronics
- Experience designing electronics for small consumer appliances
- Experience with manual board assembly and rework
- Experience with design to meet regulatory requirements
Nice To Haves
- Ability to code in C/C++, python
- Experience working with connected devices
- Experience collaborating with a multi-discipline team
