About The Position

This is a full-time, onsite position at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. The Systems Engineer will develop infrared (IR) hardbody missile threat models for the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Threat Modeling Center (TMC). The role involves developing and refining understanding of missile threat phenomenology, with an emphasis on IR signatures and hardbody heating effects. The engineer will support the development of IR signature prediction models and simulation data sets, analyze M&S data, and perform Verification & Validation (V&V) to ensure accuracy and reliability of signature outputs. Responsibilities also include contributing to the development and update of IR hardbody (IRHB) models for new and existing missile systems, collaborating with software engineers for tooling and data production, supporting MDA Ground Test Modeling & Simulation events, interpreting stakeholder requirements, and identifying improvements to automation, tools, and modeling processes.
