About The Position

Bowhead seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Navy’s Weapons Systems Munitions Integration and Hypersonics division. In the CPS Platform Integration Engineer role, the employee will support integration of Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) weapon systems onto Navy platforms, contributing expertise in platform integration, interface development, and engineering coordination to support system compatibility, integration planning, and technical execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or higher degree in an engineering discipline or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of experience integrating weapons systems onto Navy platforms.
Experience evaluating mechanical, electrical, and digital interfaces.
Experience supporting engineering projects involving complex systems, hardware integration, or system interfaces.
Ability to work independently and contribute to multidisciplinary engineering efforts.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance; current Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.
U.S. citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location.

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating weapon systems onto U.S. Navy platforms.
Strong background in interface development and system integration.
Experience with launchers, hypersonic systems, or weapons control systems.
Experience working with naval combat systems, platform interfaces, or related defense technologies.
Applicants with an in-scope DoW Secret or Top Secret clearance are preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop sections of a ship integration plan for a missile weapon system to be integrated and fielded on a Navy ship.
Evaluate interface-related information within Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models.
Evaluate weapon system-to-ship interface documents, including interface requirement specifications, interface control documents, interface design descriptions, ship installation drawings, and installation and test plans and procedures.
Manage evaluations of available ship interface-related objective quality evidence in support of technical reviews.
Analyze technical requirements, support engineering integration activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Communicate technical information effectively in written and verbal formats.
Coordinate with Bowhead and E20 system engineering teams.
Document evaluations in reports and presentations.
Participate in technical reviews, design sessions, and engineering working groups with government and contractor personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
