About The Position

HTii (Holmes-Tucker International, Inc.) is seeking a Systems Engineer to support customers in multiple Program Offices located in Patuxent River, MD. This role involves participating in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities using commercial MBSE tools to identify program requirements, needs, and relationships. The engineer will manage the execution of systems engineering processes, including interfaces, key performance parameters, operational concepts, logical architectures, and physical architectures. The position requires reviewing design development, analysis, and tasks on systems with minimal supervision, acting as a lead on less complex tasks, and being responsible for a portion of a design or section of an analysis or design review. The engineer will also generate complete design specifications for more complex projects, coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements, and develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. Additionally, the role involves coordinating technical work with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. Establishing and maintaining filing systems and databases as needed to track project status, verifying and complying with engineering documentation standards and test procedures, and supporting the development of technical proposals and providing comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work are also key responsibilities. The engineer must maintain an upbeat, helpful, and responsive demeanor to customers at all times and work across the HTii team to provide the best possible support to its acquisition customers.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tool sets and software.
  • Experience performing systems engineering analysis and producing reports that detail requirements analysis, analysis of alternatives, system architecture and definition, and system integration and test.
  • Experience with risk analysis and risk reporting.
  • Familiarity with DOD Acquisition Life Cycle.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Possess and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar technical degree

Nice To Haves

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • 3 years of aviation acquisition or relevant work experience
