Systems Engineer- Risk Management

Leidos•Huntsville, AL

About The Position

Leidos Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a matrixed organization of systems engineers, model-based systems engineers, and specialty systems engineers. The role focuses on Risk Management across multiple Hypersonics contracts and includes developing and managing systems engineering deliverables such as requirements specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), verification plans, and concepts of operations (CONOPS). The engineer will elicit risks, opportunities, mitigations, and supporting details from team members; develop a recurring risk-related deliverable; and present findings to program leadership and the customer. The role balances risk-management work with timely delivery of contract deliverables. The engineer supports multiple programs across different engineering fields and team environments, with the opportunity to move to another program in the matrixed engineering portfolio when an effort ends. The position requires systems engineering experience and a willingness to learn risk management.
