About The Position

PEMCCO is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and sustainment of systems supporting government mission requirements. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who enjoys working across the system lifecycle, translating requirements into solutions, and helping deliver reliable, effective, and mission-ready capabilities. This opportunity is a strong fit for candidates with experience in systems engineering, systems integration, systems analysis, requirements management, verification and validation, technical documentation, or systems lifecycle support. As a Systems Engineer, you will apply systems engineering principles to support the analysis, design, integration, testing, and sustainment of systems and system components. You will collaborate with engineers, developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational requirements and perform effectively throughout their lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to support complex technical programs while expanding your expertise across systems engineering disciplines and mission-focused technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physical Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Three (3) years of experience in systems engineering, systems analysis, systems integration, systems development, or a related technical field
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of system development and lifecycle management processes
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis, system integration, and testing concepts
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Proficiency with standard engineering and productivity tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced coursework or specialized training in systems engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs
  • Experience supporting systems integration and testing efforts
  • Experience developing technical documentation and engineering artifacts
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments

Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle
  • Analyze user, operational, and system requirements
  • Assist in the development of system architectures, concepts, and technical solutions
  • Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation activities
  • Evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including requirements, specifications, plans, and reports
  • Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and engineering assessments
  • Coordinate with engineers, developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to support project objectives
  • Assist in identifying and resolving system-level technical issues
  • Support configuration management, risk management, and implementation activities
  • Ensure systems engineering activities comply with applicable standards, policies, and requirements
