About The Position

At Sandvik, we’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology, and we want you to be part of that journey. We’re looking for a Systems Engineer on the Battery Controls team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and verifying complex electrical and embedded systems from concept through production. This role requires a blend of strong systems thinking, requirements development, and hands-on hardware skills. You will create and manage system requirements, work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and regulatory needs, and perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and integrated systems. The ideal candidate will excel at bridging high-level system architecture with low-level hardware validation, thrive in a collaborative environment, and ensure that all technical decisions are well-documented and traceable. Develop test plans, procedures, and reports for both bench-level and system-level testing. Lead root-cause analysis, ensure design traceability, and verify compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Support manufacturability, cost, and reliability objectives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ensure designs comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CE, ISO). Document technical decisions and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in project requirements or timelines. Works independently with little to no supervision.
