Systems Engineer
About The Position
Systems Engineer positions offered by Volvo Car USA LLC (Ridgeville, South Carolina). Troubleshoot integrations between applications and shop floor equipment. Provide technical solutions for problems within existing applications. Create application documentation including accurate support documentation for the support teams. Work with stakeholders to plan, schedule and supervise all application maintenance. Develop and implement continuous improvement activities. Work with the business partners in identifying project business value and provide direction for the business in creating multiple, interrelated functional specifications and their translation to IT design requirements. Coordinate, follow up and secure accurate testing in the appropriate areas. Define and review requirements and use cases for the applications. Perform technical design of configuration, build objects, reports and interfaces according to business requirements. Assist in coding, bugfix, and minor new development. Participate in on-call rotation supporting multi-shift operations.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of experience working as an engineer or analyst
- Must have 3 years of experience using Unix, Windows or OpenVMS
- Must have 3 years of experience using Java and SQL
- Must have 3 years of experience using Spring, Springboot, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Log4J, and Restful
- Must have 3 years of experience using JSP, Servlets, SAX/DOM, JSON, Web Services, JSTL, JDBC, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and ReactJS
- Must have 3 years of experience using Apache, Kafka, and MQ
- Must have 3 years of experience using AWS, Amazon EC2, S3, and Azure
- Must have 3 years of experience using Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Must have 3 years of experience using Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DB2
- Must have 3 years of experience using Apache Tomcat, Jboss, or Weblogic
- Also requires experience working in automotive manufacturing.
