About The Position

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for resolving incidents escalating to or originating at the Systems Engineer level. This role involves the administration of the Microsoft computing environment, including Active Directory, DNS, and basic messaging systems. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting PC and server hardware issues, responding to trouble tickets, and performing system updates and patches to ensure system availability and reliability. Backup and recovery functions are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

Must maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.
Must maintain a current Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.
Five to Seven (5-7) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
High level of familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, Domain Names Services (DNS).
Familiarity with basic network technologies and capable of troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration issues.
Basic messaging system administration (e-mail).
PC and server hardware familiarity including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem repair/replacement procedures.
Ability to respond to trouble tickets from the Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
Ability to perform hardware and software system updates, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Satisfactory background screening.
