About The Position

Vantor is seeking several System Engineers to join their established team. The role involves providing systems engineering and enterprise architecture support to USG customers. This includes working with customers to improve their architecture and engineering workflows and processes through the identification or design of processes and tools. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for articulating and capturing the architecture, system requirements, system design, and testing approach. They will investigate and capture "As Is" architecture or workflows, identify "To Be" states, and make recommendations on the transition from "As Is" to "To Be". Additionally, the role involves developing standard and repeatable processes, recommending on architecture, engineering, development, and integration projects, and producing/supporting the creation of Enterprise Architecture Repository artifacts. Familiarity with the System V and its application to customer practices is expected, as is support for engineering review boards.

Requirements

  • US citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional year of experience may be substituted.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Experience performing all/most aspects of the system engineering (requirements analysis, interface control documentation, ConOps development, Use Case development, data flows and developing Test Plans.)
  • Familiarity with a Requirements Tool.
  • SCRUM/AGILE Development (Jira).
  • Familiar with deployment and maintenance of Development, Test and Operational environments.

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years experience
  • Certification in Model Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with software and system development projects using model bases system engineering.
  • Familiar with Enterprise Architecture concepts, System Engineering Principles as depicted in the System V, and MBSE realizating in a model.
  • Worked on a team using Agile or SAFe development processes.
  • Practices best practices when writing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering and enterprise architecture support to USG customers.

  • Develop standard and repeatable processes, as appropriate, to recommend on architecture, engineering, development and integration projects.
  • Produce and support leadership team in the identification and creation of Enterprise Architecture Repository artifacts as required.
