About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced Systems Engineer to join the KC-767 International Tanker Program, in Hazelwood, MO. This role primarily focuses on Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) obsolescence resolution, supporting proposal development, and executing projects for new capabilities. The position requires critical thinking, innovative problem-solving, and the ability to develop requirements documentation, test plans, procedures, and reports. The engineer will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced system of systems and system solutions. This includes evaluating customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrating technical parameters, and ensuring compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces. The role also involves performing analyses to optimize system architectures and developing processes for requirements management, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments. The engineer will also resolve cross-functional technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5 + years knowledge of engineering discipline(s) (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software engineering) applied to product related systems (e.g., aircraft, avionics systems) throughout the product development life cycle, from concept development to deployment
  • Must be able to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
  • 5 + years knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., navigation, avionics, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatic, etc.) including operations and troubleshooting
  • Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings
  • Develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • Provides technical solutions to a variety of difficult problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Capable of evaluating customer and /operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
