Sentar is seeking a Systems Engineer to support U.S. Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)/Sentinel program out of Huntsville, AL. Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance obtained or adjudicated within the past 6 years and SAP/SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline.
  • Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience with SysML, UML, or DoDAF modeling languages.
  • Experience with full software life-cycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance required.
  • Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking and build release practices required.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree.
  • Familiarity in Agile, C/C++, and real-time processing including processes threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms and memory management required.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development.
  • Experience with Git products.
  • Experience with applied automated testing techniques including unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with test framework/application and system verification.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Interacts with the team regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility.
