About The Position

Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to join their team in Redondo Beach, CA. This role can be filled at either Level 3 Principal Systems Engineer or Level 4 Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. This position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding, as well as obtaining and maintaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time. Continued employment is subject to maintaining the required clearance and program access.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience OR Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 1+ year(s) of engineering experience (for Level 3)
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience OR Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4+ years of engineering experience (for Level 4)
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have active SCI access at time of application with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years and prior to start date OR Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (or equivalent) at time of application with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years and prior to start date as well as the ability to obtain and maintain active SCI access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Responsibilities

Work scope covers a range of Systems Engineering disciplines and products including requirements & verification, interfaces, architecture, CAMEO, Model Based Systems Engineering, DOORS administration, and design
Support development of verification planning/products, test requirements, and other key products
Assist preparation and execution of milestones
Role entails collaboration with Space Vehicle Systems Engineering as well as engagement with multiple working groups, key stakeholders, and control boards
