About The Position

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for resolving incidents escalating to or originating at the Systems Engineer level. This role involves the administration of the Microsoft computing environment, including Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, and Domain Names Services (DNS). The engineer will also troubleshoot minor network connectivity issues, perform basic messaging system administration (e-mail), and handle PC and server hardware troubleshooting and repair/replacement. Responsibilities include responding to trouble tickets, performing system updates (patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes), and managing backup and recovery functions to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.

Requirements

Must maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.
Must maintain a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.
Five to Seven (5-7) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
High level of familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, Domain Names Services (DNS).
Familiarity with basic network technologies and capable of troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration issues.
Basic messaging system administration (e-mail).
PC and server hardware familiarity including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem repair/replacement procedures.
Ability to respond to trouble tickets from the Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
Ability to perform hardware and software system updates, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes.
Ability to perform backup and recovery functions.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
