About The Position

TSC is seeking a Systems Engineer in King George, VA. This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer or electronics engineering. Other acceptable majors include mathematics, computer science or physics.
  • RADAR systems integration and Test position in the SPY 6 program.
  • Established testing experience both pre and post production and understands the connected working of a shipboard RADAR system.
  • Specifically the operations of phased array RADARs in a shipboard environment as well as the interfaces and inner working of RADAR systems and how the RADAR interfaces with the AEGIS weapons system.
  • A minimum of 8 years industry and/or DoD experience
  • Familiarization with the Dual Band Radar (DBR) systems
  • Ability to read and understand or modify master and inch stone schedules as they apply to testing, development and into production.
  • A minimum of active secret clearance and US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Leading current and future radar system design and production.
  • Supporting technology developments, technology insertions, prototyping and technology demonstrations in support of a mission critical and highly visible new program.
  • Performing complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or sensor software development.
  • Formulating opinions, decisions and ultimate performance of the engineering tasks associated with the radar/sensor program/project.
  • Performing detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.
