About The Position
We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time on-site role located in Grand Haven, MI. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for technical support and general system engineering for our clients. This company is creating a team with a Champion and a right-hand person to support their customers. This role is for the Champion which is the more Sr level person that is onsite at customers a majority of the time.
Requirements
- Strong System Engineering skills with experience in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience in Network Administration including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
- Technical Support experience in hardware, software, and remote support.
- Effective Troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to identify and prevent technical issues.
- In-depth knowledge of Information Technology concepts and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 5-10+ years of experience.
- Great interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- VMware
- Scripting/Automation
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA A+ are a plus.
- MSP experience is helpful.
- Prior manufacturing experience would be a key asset.
Responsibilities
- Technical support and general system engineering for clients.
- Travel to client sites approximately 3 days per week.
- Be on-site at the company 2 days per week.
- Some remote work as needed.
- Act as the face of the company at client sites.
- Support customers as the senior-level person onsite at customer locations.
