About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer with Data Policy experiences to join us Our Fort Independence is a technical program, supporting our Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. You as a Systems Engineer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers helping drive efficiencies with things like the ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘where’ within our Certified Data Repository (CDR) process, helping our attribute governance and overall critical data management practices. As a critical thinker, you will synthesize process and work to help implement innovate ways to strengthen compliance while optimizing access control.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS degree in STEM or related field and 0-2 years experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge with Identity and Access Management (IdAM)/ Identity Credentials and Access Management (ICAM) delivery systems, Authentication, Authorizations, Attribute Architectures.
  • Familiarity with data and governance principals, compliance and/or metadata management.
  • Strong critical thinking ability – able to balance technical solutions with policy and compliance needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical insights to policy and mission partners alike.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with governance and metadata platforms (Collabra, Informatica, Alation etc.)
  • Awareness of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) policy – contributing to update and sharing Zero-Trust security policies.
  • Hands-on experience in automation pipelines or AI-enabled data governances' tools.
  • Background working in policy, governance and/or compliance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Translate governance policies into operational processes and technical solutions – providing clear guidance to data steward and mission partners.
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards, Steward Representatives and our Mission Partner across the community.
  • Help Develop statistical analysis to help the above compliance, data quality and stewardship outcomes.
  • Apply techniques that include the use of AI where appropriate to help automate governance, workflows (e.g. anomaly detection, policy application and more)
  • Help create and maintain metrices, dashboards and reporting to help track governances and overall policy performance and compliance.
  • Identify system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycles from concept to disposal

  • Support the development, documentation, and execution of system policies
