About The Position

V2X is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join a small, multi-discipline team of engineers supporting the Transportation Technology and Tolling Solutions (T3S) OmniToll product line. This role involves solution development, integration, and testing efforts. This is an opportunity for an early-career engineer (less than 5 years of experience) to serve as an individual contributor and a deputy technical lead within a product line team operating in a dynamic, multi-customer environment that supports live 24/7 operations.

  • Comfortable presenting technical content to senior management and customer leadership
  • Extremely strong problem-solving logic & analysis skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Self-motivated & able to develop and execute tasks independently or with integrated teams
  • Able to grasp the “big picture” and determine how different courses of action will impact large/complex systems
  • Python/scripting (Code adaptation & editing, advanced scripting)
  • Familiarity with Windows-based security & administration (Group Policy/STIG Configs, Active Directory, Certificate Services)
  • Familiarity with System security design, development, configuration, & integration (Architecture, IAM, Zero Trust, IDS/IPS, CM)
  • Automation integration (More than once, automate it whenever possible with any available means)
  • Virtualized systems & environments
  • Familiarity with using Linux/Unix workstation and familiar with Linux commands
  • Experienced in using integrated software development tools, such as Jenkins, GIT, VisualStudio
  • Experience with HTML and JSON schemas
  • Knowledge of communication technology such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and basics of networks
  • Experienced in using software development tools, such as gradle/Eclipse/artifactory
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum environment and is familiar with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with configuration management including tooling (SW, configuration, Use cases, Documentation)
  • Experience with AI/ML tools and their use in analysis, modeling, application development, application integration, and test
