About The Position

As a Systems Engineer 6, you will be responsible for leading the full technical execution of major programs, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality while overseeing complex lab infrastructure and networks that support advanced solution testing. It also serves as a key technical liaison to government stakeholders and senior leaders, resolving high‑impact issues and influencing program direction. Additionally, the role mentors junior engineers and provides hands‑on support to maintain smooth and reliable lab operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 14+ years (or Master's with 12+ years or PhD with 10+ years) of relative engineering experience required. Experience in lieu of degrees will be assessed on a case by case basis.
  • Previous knowledge of computer machine room operations, power, space and cooling, and experience installing rack mounted computer hardware and network switches.
  • Knowledge of end‑to‑end flow analysis from radio frequency through demodulation and digitization to processing systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in recognized SIGINT, EW, and Cyber disciplines, supported by a minimum of 20 years of work and achievements in these fields.
  • Skill in leading SIGINT organizations or managing computer machine room operations, with at least five (5) years of leadership experience in one of these areas.
  • Ability to perform, direct, and guide complex SIGINT systems and/or computer room functionality, with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to define requirements and allocate system functions.
  • Skill in conducting system requirements gathering, analysis, and formal reviews.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop CONOPs, Program Management Plans, and interfacing standards.
  • Ability to define system architecture and generate design documentation, including proficiency with MS Visio.
  • Ability to conduct and manage technical and non‑technical assessments.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position necessitates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance for employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI with FS Polygraph U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional desired experience includes hardware experience, ground radio technician, installing new systems at OCONUS field sites, managing computer machine rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Direct end-to-end execution, cost, schedule, and quality for major product lines or mission critical programs
  • Lab Management: Organize and plan lab infrastructure, and networks to support testing of new solutions
  • Interface directly with government overseers, customers and senior executives to resolve technical conflicts
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence
  • Provide general support and resolve problems, in support of lab operations.
