About The Position

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand its team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). We have an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer (Test Engineer) to work in our Huntsville, AL office. This role will serve as a central coordination point across software, systems, integration, test, and external mission stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication, alignment, and traceability of requirements, test objectives, and outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, integration, verification, validation, or test engineering activities.
Knowledge of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
Experience developing and executing test plans and procedures.
Ability to analyze technical data and prepare clear, concise reports.
Must be US Citizen

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
Familiarity with systems engineering standards and test methodologies.
Active DoD Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute system-level test plans, procedures, and test cases.
Verify system performance against technical requirements and specifications.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of laboratory, integration, and field test events.
Analyze test data and document results, findings, and recommendations.
Identify, troubleshoot, and document system deficiencies and support corrective actions.
Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
Support customer demonstrations, system acceptance testing, and operational evaluations as required.
Ensure testing activities comply with applicable engineering processes, standards, and quality requirements.
