About The Position

The Systems Engineer - Test Analyst represents SE&IT in support of MDA/DE-SEA (Enterprise Analysis & Technical Innovation) and its role within the MDA Joint Analysis Team (JAT). The position analyzes Missile Defense System (MDS) performance using test data generated primarily by the MDA Ground Test (HWIL) program, and may also support MDA flight tests, real-world event data, and Golden Dome for America (GDA) tests. The engineer develops approaches and tools for system-level and element-level performance analysis of the MDS, and produces analysis results and inputs for official SEA test reports. Analysts may present findings during mission data reviews. The role works with Systems Engineering teams, test organizations, warfighters, and element program focals to help ensure tests meet technical intent, assess system capabilities, and characterize system behaviors. Analysis products are used to assess strategic and/or theater or regional system performance in ground and flight test events, with an emphasis on system-level behaviors across MDS elements. The candidate analyzes the MDS kill chain, including sensor acquisition, tracking, and discrimination; battle manager engagement planning, warfighter interaction, and coordination with other MDS systems; and interceptor acquisition, tracking, and discrimination. The role requires analytical discipline and the ability to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team. The position is based at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. One opening is listed, with a start date expected within three to four weeks of an offer.
