About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Technical Data Package Delivery Systems Engineer (Principal or Senior Principal Engineer Level) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you will support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives related to technical documentation. You'll be working under the guidance of the Systems Engineering Manager to uncover and resolve issues associated with technical documentation reviews. This role may be filled at either the Principal Engineer (Level 3) or Senior Principal Engineer (Level 4) level.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Teamcenter and NX (or equivalent PDM/PLM applications)
  • Familiarity with requirements development, requirements verification, and engineering production activities
  • An understanding of NX and modeling
  • Direct CAD experience
  • An understanding of the Systems Engineering “V” model
  • Direct professional / military experience in providing solutions to a variety of technical problems under general supervision
  • Direct professional / military experience in communicating with peers in a detailed and process-oriented fashion.
  • Collaborative development and work in a team environment with other highly motivated system engineers
  • Applicable at a Principal Engineer Level (level 3): Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience
  • Applicable at a Senior Principal Engineer Level (level 4): Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 4 years of relevant military / professional experience
  • Applicable at Both Levels: Must have the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
