This position provides strategic technical leadership and mission-driven analysis for space and multi-domain defense systems within a secure, customer-integrated operational environment. The role integrates systems engineering expertise with executive-level technical advisory to enable senior decision-makers to understand complex trade spaces and make informed decisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, space systems, missile systems, or related missions.
  • Proven ability to independently scope, execute, and document technical analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief complex technical topics to non-technical senior leadership, particularly in an architecture and force-planning context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with government or DoD customers in a customer-facing technical advisory role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and SAP clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in space systems, missile systems, rockets/launch vehicles, hypersonic systems, or related threat/defense systems.
  • Experience leading multi-organization analysis efforts with national labs, FFRDCs, universities, and industry that support architecture or Force Design development.
  • Demonstrated ability to frame and communicate complex performance/risk/schedule/cost trades for senior decision-makers.
  • Existing SAP clearances and recent work in SAP or compartmented environments.
  • Post Graduate degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead systems engineering and analytic efforts for space and multi-domain defense systems, including concepts, architectures, performance trades, and related design options.
  • Define, plan, and manage analyses with national laboratories, universities, and industry partners to inform integrated space architecture recommendations and overarching design choices.
  • Distill complex technical challenges and results into clear trades and recommendations that directly support senior-level architecture and investment decisions.
  • Develop and present technical briefings to non-technical senior leadership, communicating architecture options, trade spaces, and implications for future force structure.
  • Support customer stakeholder engagements as a trusted technical advisor (working groups, technical interchange meetings, senior reviews) focused on architecture and capability outcomes.
  • Integrate modeling, simulation, test data, and operational perspectives into coherent system- and architecture-level assessments.
  • Support long-term technical roadmaps and strategies for space and multi-domain defense architectures aligned with Force Design objectives.
