About The Position

As a systems engineer for Strategic Weapons Control, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for design and deployment of modernization initiatives for the country's strategic submarine fleet. This position is fully on-site with the option to flex from home a couple of days in the week. While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield Strategic Weapon Control Systems Engineering team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Nice To Haves

  • Guidance system or weapon control knowledge and experience in systems engineering including design documentation and requirements management
  • Hardware and software integration; planning, testing, troubleshooting, and report generation
  • Engineering leadership; excellent communication and presentation skills, cross-discipline engineering knowledge, design review package generation, and developing customer intimacy
