As a Systems Engineer, a typical day will include the following duties:

Requirements

  • Experience in program management and system integration for complex IT programs
  • Experience preparing program plans and reports, including budget spend plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing for varied audiences and senior executives
  • US Citizen
  • Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate meetings, lead information sessions, coordinate schedules, and track action items
  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications, translating them into IT requirements
  • Prepare technical proposals for engineering review boards
  • Evaluate cloud strategies and select appropriate cloud services based on requirements
  • Design, develop, and maintain network environments, including modern cloud environments
  • Build and configure servers and workstations, including installation, setup, hardware coordination, and maintaining OS/software updates
  • Provide cyber defense capabilities to protect IT assets from threats and exploitation
  • Plan, design, test, implement, monitor, and maintain security architecture, infrastructure, policies, and procedures
  • Design, implement, and achieve approval to operate (ATO) for IT systems
  • Lead Scrum teams using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
  • Compose technical documents such as user manuals, training materials, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, and reports
  • Review network requirements to assess alternatives, performance impact, and cost-beneficial approaches
  • Coordinate and integrate deliverables, information, and technology architectures into cohesive solutions and roadmaps
  • Organize and structure solutions for complex client areas, including project planning, risk assessment, mitigation strategies, scheduling, and contingency planning
  • Brief customers, stakeholders, and management at various levels on enterprise program capabilities and statuses
