We are seeking a Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (AF TENCAP) prototyping efforts and lead enterprise architecture projects for the Space Force’s SYD-81. Efforts center on full spectrum of Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) systems engineering in support of rapid prototype development and integration activities to meet emergent RDT&E requirements of AF TENCAP, its Space Force partners, and their stakeholders. Enterprise architecture efforts will meet the needs of ensuring Space Force ranges are fully modeled so that development of current and future capabilities are fully informed. As a SME you will work closely with the program manager, chief engineer, lead systems engineers and model-based systems engineers to deliver rapid, innovative, and cost-effective capabilities across all war-fighting domains. Your expertise will be integral in delivering successful project outcomes. You will also develop future solution options for AFTENCAP so that the warfighter is armed with ever increasing lethality. You need experience in systems engineering, system design and integration, military test, and a strong background in supporting DoW service organizations and Intelligence Community agencies to be successful in this role. This role requires the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering
  • 16 years of experience in the Department of War.
  • Experience supporting classified DoW/IC systems and DoW Weapon Systems.
  • Experience developing or testing programs involving geolocation, sensor data fusion, special operations, situational awareness, cyberspace or spectrum warfare, air superiority, and/or command and control.
  • Experience within prototyping efforts.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoW Test and Evaluation to include planning, execution and reporting.
  • Long-range kill-chain experience.
  • Extensive experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience working in an Agile team/framework.
  • Experience with AFTENCAP operations.
  • Must have an in-scope DoW Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using MBSE and Digital Engineering Tools (e.g., Aras Innovator, Cameo, DOORS, AFSIM, Confluence, Jira).
  • Graduate of a formal advanced military tactics or test course (e.g. USAFWS, USAF TPS).
