Systems Engineer Senior (Navigation)
About The Position
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer with a focus in Navigation, Global Positioning System (GPS), and Alternative Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT). In this role, you will be performing engineering functions in support of system design, development, integration, production, and sustainment of industry leading navigation systems. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Software Engineering or a related STEM discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
- Knowledgeable in systems engineering lifecycle, development, requirements decomposition, and application of processes and tools
- Experience with CNI (Communications, Navigation & Identification) systems to include inertial navigation, GPS/SatNav, Alternative Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) and other related avionics subsystems.
- Knowledge of advanced navigation technologies, navigation sensors, filters and platform integration.
- Experience with navigation and/or guidance navigation & control software algorithms and the tools used to complete them.
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with design, development, and integration of advanced navigations systems
- Experience developing airborne navigation software using Matlab, Python, C/C++.
- Airworthy flight code development experience is desired.
- Experience using digital engineering workflows, tools and methods for system & software deployment
- Experience presenting to senior leaders, program management, and external customers
- Experience with Military and/or Government programs
