About The Position

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior-Level Systems Engineer to lead and guide multi-discipline engineering efforts across complex GEOINT systems. This role supports mission-critical capabilities across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies to ensure timely, accurate GEOINT delivery. As a Senior-Level Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and engineering oversight across the full systems lifecycle. You will mentor engineering teams, translate mission needs into technical solutions, and support enterprise-level integration across systems, services, and organizational boundaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience: 4 additional years of experience with no degree, or 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree
  • 12+ years of experience in government or industry supporting: DoD / IC Acquisition, Requirements, or PPBES processes, or Systems engineering of large-scale System-of-Systems or SOA environments across cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures
  • Experience with and understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises
  • Prior NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience
  • Prior IC or DoD program or project experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages
  • Working knowledge of Digital Engineering processes and tools
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
  • Documented experience supporting geospatial intelligence missions
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations, such as: ACSM ASCE ASPRS OGC SAREM USGIF
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, GIS, geomatics, or related fields

Responsibilities

  • Guide Mid- and Junior-level Systems Engineers performing requirements engineering, solution design, integration, testing, sustainment, and analysis
  • Lead planning and requirements and architecture traceability to automate, modernize, or improve existing systems
  • Guide the development of solution designs informed by requirements analysis and emerging technologies
  • Assist the Government in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements
  • Support analysis and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs
  • Perform and support systems integration activities
  • Conduct and support Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments
  • Assist with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design
  • Operate at the level of integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across agency boundaries
