About The Position

At GDMS, Systems Engineers can advance into technical leadership, program management, or advanced engineering specialties. As a Systems Engineer on RSP, you'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering hardware, software and systems solutions. This Systems Engineer role may focus on one or more of the following areas: Test & Integration Engineering: hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing; Requirements Engineering: documenting, analyzing, and managing system requirements; Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): system modeling, simulations, and design analysis; Hardware-Systems Engineering: design, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering or Hardware Systems work (Master's degree may substitue for experience).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems.
  • Knowledge of systems design, MBSE modeling, and simulation.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cameo, or similar).
  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Document, review, and manage system requirements using requirements management tools and MBSE.
  • Participate in design reviews, verification, and validation activities.
