Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer - Radar Architect – Level 3 or Level 4 to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, the engineer will support the development and integration of radar subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives. This includes requirements development, analysis, maturation, and implementation, translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The engineer will also perform functional and performance analyses of Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) and Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), and maintain budgets for key radar performance metrics. Development of mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor implementation and support for software development to model system behavior in simulations are also key responsibilities. The role involves soliciting input from stakeholders, synthesizing data, and communicating results to leadership. Mission engineering activities will ensure continuity between operational capabilities and system performance through the Systems Engineering “V”. This includes trading performance capabilities against cost and mission requirements, and assessing the operational effectiveness of systems in representative environments. The engineer will also guide the team through development/implementation activities. This position is contingent upon program award, funding, and the candidate obtaining and maintaining the required security clearance (Secret, with the ability to obtain SCI) and program access. This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.
