About The Position

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Intern Systems Engineer. You will participate in design, development, integration, and testing of new capabilities for several Department of Defense (DoD) products and technologies. You will use and contribute to models of real-world weapons, radars, Command & Control systems. You will independently identify and address system and software defects, demonstrate an ability to practice sound systems and software engineering discipline, and decompose complex problems to formulate solutions. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

Pursuing a BS Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent STEM field.
Basic knowledge of root cause analysis, problem solving skills, and statistical analysis.
Basic knowledge in scripting languages such as Python and/or MATLAB.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
Must be a US Citizen.
This position will require a government security clearance.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of Agile Development Process.
Basic knowledge of Static and Dynamic Systems.
Basic knowledge of Statistics, Monte Carlo Analysis, and distributed simulation techniques.
Basic knowledge of Data Science Principles.
