About The Position

As a Systems Administrator, you will help maintain and evolve our Windows-based infrastructure while developing hands-on experience with PowerShell automation, system hardening, and security operations in a structured, DoD-aligned environment. You will work alongside senior engineers and IT leadership to administer core Windows services, build automation solutions, and support the reliability and security of enterprise systems. Requirements

  • Experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, system management, and reporting
  • Experience supporting patch management, software deployment, and system hardening activities
  • Experience with endpoint security practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities
  • Knowledge of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VLANs
  • Ability to follow through on issues to resolution, troubleshoot, and pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to document configurations, procedures, and runbooks
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, including CompTIA Security+ CE

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Omnissa Horizon VDI environments including configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual desktop infrastructures to ensure optimal performance for users
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure — Azure AD or Entra ID, Azure Virtual Machines, or Azure resource administration
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline concepts, or infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, or vulnerability scanning solutions
  • Experience with Agile team workflows and ceremonies
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills
