This is a project-based employee role supporting the initial development phase of our autonomous vehicle platforms. Development phases of this nature typically span up to project completion (typically 2-4 years), though scope and duration are driven by business needs. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in requirements elicitation or related engineering tasks.
- Familiarity with product development lifecycle for complex systems.
- Basic understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Foundational knowledge of design principles and hardware development.
- Strong communication and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to autonomous systems or robotics preferred.
- Experience with requirement management tools such as IBM Doors, Jama Connect, Polarion, or other requirement management software.
- Experience with safety analysis such as HARAs, STPAs, FMEAs, and others.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and processing stakeholder goals and KPIs under supervision.
- Support translation of product goals into basic system requirements.
- Help generate interface control documents for subsystem interactions.
- Specify functional and non-functional requirements in subsystem specification documents.
- Participate in conceptual design and documentation processes.
- Support analyzing impact when there are changes to stakeholder requirements.
- Assist Safety Engineers in analyzing systems/subsystems to mitigate risk exposure.
- Assist in design reviews and ensure traceability of requirements.
- Support development of verification and acceptance test cases.
- Help review test plans and procedures for alignment with requirements.
- Provide input for workflow optimization and risk management tools.
- Participate in proposal inputs and customer meetings as needed.
