About The Position

As a System Engineer supporting the Terminal High‑Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program, you will play a pivotal role in translating mission objectives into clear system design. You will report to the WSE System Design and Architecture Manager supporting system design for both United States Government and existing/future Foreign Military Sales contracts. You will support the Design and Architecture Threat Modelling team by modelling and analyzing threat missile behavior, develop and maintain MATLAB/Python scripts for threat analysis, and support the Design and Architecture team by providing analysis of threat missile behavior. You will also participate in system level design reviews and performance interchange meetings for future capabilities. The role requires you to interact well with peers, leadership, customers and subcontractors, support technical discussions, and communicate in a clear and concise manner. You will also take the initiative to support the WSE organizations goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Knowledge or experience of systems engineering concepts and processes
  • Active or Current Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of overall system engineering process
  • Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) design and analysis
  • Medium or high fidelity simulation experience
  • System performance assessment tactics
  • Scripting with Python, Matlab, Unix, Linux, Shell, Bash, C++, etc...
  • Ability to define and detail solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior management and to the customer
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
  • Knowledge of AGILE process
