About The Position

Markon is seeking a System Engineer Level 3 to provide senior technical leadership for the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of mission-critical packet-based systems for the Fort Meade Customer. This role leads the integration of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) hardware and software solutions while driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components. The position is responsible for ensuring interoperability, operational performance, and mission success across complex enterprise and communications environments.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with ths customer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required
  • 20+ years of systems engineering, systems integration, or related technical experience
  • Experience leading the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based systems
  • Extensive experience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions
  • Strong experience driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components
  • Experience developing and implementing system architectures and integration strategies
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies, systems engineering principles, and lifecycle processes
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise, communications, or mission-critical technology environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in a dynamic, mission-focused environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems
  • Drive end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure components
  • Develop and evaluate system architectures, technical solutions, and integration strategies
  • Lead requirements analysis, engineering assessments, and system design activities
  • Oversee system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness efforts
  • Ensure interoperability, reliability, performance, and maintainability of deployed solutions
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, vendors, engineers, and operational teams throughout the system lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment plans, and engineering artifacts
  • Support technology modernization initiatives and capability enhancements
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams
