About The Position

Lockheed Martin's EBDT Classified IT Transformation team is modernizing the delivery of classified IT services for Business‑Area partners and DoW programs. We seek an experienced System Engineer to join the Classified IT Center of Excellence (CoE). This Enterprise Operations position supports an Enterprise network, delivering secure, mission-critical IT capabilities to collateral Secret programs across the enterprise. As a Systems Engineer-IT Sr Administrator, you will play a direct role in enabling national security objectives by performing technical planning, system integration, and verification and validation of classified infrastructure used by critical programs. This is a hands-on position focused on resolving complex technical challenges across applications, systems, and network connectivity within a classified environment. You will be part of a high-performing team responsible for maintaining and defending enterprise IT systems that operate in complex, security-constrained environments. You will perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer and program requirements into hardware and software specifications. The selected candidate will administer and support Linux and/or Windows systems, network components, and storage platforms. Responsibilities include system installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous availability of mission systems. You will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Analyses are performed across the full system lifecycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. You will actively contribute to Information Assurance efforts by performing vulnerability scans, remediating security findings, applying patches, and implementing system hardening in compliance with stringent security requirements. Additionally, you will ensure all enterprise assets and software are properly tracked, controlled, and audit-ready. Working alongside engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and program stakeholders, you will lead system integration, upgrades, and sustainment activities. You will apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. You will support cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses while helping resolve incidents, execute changes, and improve operational processes that directly impact mission success. In this fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment, the incumbent will: - Design, implement, and secure next‑generation IT infrastructure solutions. - Standardize and streamline processes across classified environments. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to accelerate product development for U.S. Department of War missions. - Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and industry best practices. - The role is critical to enabling Lockheed Martin to deliver higher‑quality, mission‑critical solutions more rapidly.
