About The Position

RTX is offering an internship opportunity for a Systems Engineer. This role involves working within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems integrated into military helicopters and planes. The intern will also integrate soft skills such as leadership, communication, coordination, and proactiveness into a dynamic environment to deliver quality and timely products. The internship aims to grow knowledge in Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Systems or Aerospace Engineering and/or a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics major.
• Must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must be a U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or individual granted refugee or asylee status in the U.S.).

Nice To Haves

• Ability to draft System and/or Software Requirements.
• Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification).
