About The Position

RTX is offering an internship opportunity for Systems Engineer Interns to explore the world of aerospace and defense. Interns will learn from and collaborate with industry experts, working on complex problems and advancing their skills. This role provides an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance your skills and create a safer, more connected world. You will participate in a collaborative integrated product team and support the design, integration, verification and validation of avionics CNS products. You will actively work in the full product development life-cycle activities and gain hands-on experience in requirements management, systems architecture, test planning and data analysis. You will assist in documentation of engineering work in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and requirements management.
  • Experience in any of the scripting languages, like Python, Perl.
  • Strong interest in the aerospace industry and related fields.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
