About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer - Integration and Test to join the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team. This role is responsible for the coordination and development of a new Test Program for the next generation of FBM hardware. The FBM program supports the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense and is experiencing significant growth. This is an opportunity to deliver new technologies while maintaining technical requirements for strategic deterrence.

Requirements

  • Experience with testing and problem solving at various levels of integration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with one or more Systems Integration functions including: System trade studies and/or System modeling, Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development, System Integration, Test and/or Verification, Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies.
  • Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and electrical ground test equipment.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.
  • Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate.
  • Active Top Secret.

Responsibilities

  • Support requirements definition for new labs and missile tests.
  • Develop an Integrated Test Program Plan.
  • Involvement in test execution at various levels.
  • Perform systems hardware/software integration, test planning, and execution.
  • Support the development of products needed to conduct missile hardware/software testing at factory and launch sites.
  • Support the generation of system test requirements.
