About The Position

AV is looking for a highly talented Systems Engineer III to join our team! In this role you will support the MDA Chief Engineer (MDA/CE) and the Mission Risk Manager (MRM) by assisting with the development of Flight, Technical, and Cyber risks as they relate to both internal MDA systems as well as external systems. Ensure consistent, thorough, and integrated management, execution, and products of Flight, Technical, Programmatic and Cyber risks through the MDA Risk Working Group (MRWG). Execute Technical Risk assessments to support MDA Operational Capacity List (OCL) Decisions Provide expert review of evidence related to technical, and Cyber risks presented in System and Element requirements and design reviews. Provide support to elements for risk development. Support Mission Execution and disposition of Execution Risks and Event Observations in Daily MRWGs.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field
7+ years of experience
Active Secret clearance
Intermediate MS Office/TEAMS/PowerBI experience
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to senior MDA leaders.
Experience with Risk development and assessment
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15.
Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
