About The Position

This is a remote role open for multiple markets across the United States. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer III- OpenShift/Kubernetes Platform Administrator to build, administer, and optimize enterprise OpenShift container platforms. This role is responsible for building, automating, maintaining highly available OpenShift clusters, automating infrastructure operations, ensuring platform security, and supporting application teams deploying cloud-native workloads. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux administration, automation, and troubleshooting. The individual will work closely with DevOps, Cloud, Security, and Application Development teams to deliver reliable and scalable container platform services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of systems engineering or infrastructure administration experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on OpenShift and Kubernetes administration experience.
  • Experience supporting production container platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Strong Linux system administration background.
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or any Kubernetes flavours
  • Docker/Container Runtime Technologies
  • OpenShift/kubernetes Operators
  • OpenShift Pipelines, GitOps, ArgoCD
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Linux Performance Tuning, Linux Security Hardening

Responsibilities

  • Deploys and manages cloud resources, optimizing configurations for security, performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Leads the design and deployment of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures for critical applications.
  • Defines and implements best practices for IaC, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
  • Mentors team members providing guidance and technical leadership on complex projects.
  • Engages in research and continuous improvement initiatives to adopt new technologies and best practices.
  • Maintains and shares technical documentation to support knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Provides 24/7 on-call support to ensure the availability and reliability of cloud infrastructure.
