About The Position

As a Systems Engineer II at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of advanced systems including hardware, software, and network components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system solutions meet quality standards and customer requirements, contributing to innovative and efficient technology solutions. In this role, you will impact the successful deployment and operation of complex systems that enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency for our customers across various industries. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematic
  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • EGPWS systems engineering experience
  • Flight Test Experience of EGPWS systems and functions in support of rapid prototyping, TSO and STC programs

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree from an accredited Aerospace University in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • Prior internships at Honeywell Aerospace
  • Experience working on large-scale system integration projects
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in systems engineering
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Aircraft Systems knowledge or piloting background
  • Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System(EGPWS) or TAWS experience
  • Aviation Safety experience or knowledge
  • FAA Regulations and industry standards knowledge
  • ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 knowledge
  • Agile development process knowledge and experience
  • TSO, STC and Aircraft Type Certification knowledge and experience
  • Interest and commitment to aviation safety
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
