Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Physics) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant Systems engineering experience
- System software, system hardware, system requirements, and/or testing
- System hardware/software installation, integration, and troubleshooting
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Nice To Haves
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Willingness to travel (domestic/international) up to 25%
- Experience in test environments and on government contracts
- ATLAB, Python, scripting languages, and digital engineering tools (DOORS/DNG, Rhapsody, Cameo)
- Background supporting integration, verification, and field/test facility activities
- Ability to present technical analyses and solutions to leadership and customers
- Use Monte Carlo simulation for system performance modeling
- Diagnostic skills for identifying root causes, restoring functionality, and implementing preventative measures
- Develop test procedures, reports, and troubleshooting complex
- C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages
Responsibilities
- Work within a cross‑functional team and interface with customers and program leadership
- Create and decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and determine verification and validation methods
- Support system performance analysis, integration, and test activities
- Conduct testing of optical and electrical components and integrated systems; collect and analyze performance data
- Identify and resolve issues uncovered during testing; support design improvements and perform troubleshooting and calibration
- Execute integration, verification, and validation testing and generate comprehensive test reports
- Provide engineering support for test process development, baseline definition, and test architecture design
