About The Position

HomeTown Pharmacy is seeking a non-managerial, hands-on Systems Engineer II to own and support the company’s IT infrastructure across its locations. The role independently supports, maintains, and implements infrastructure systems for healthcare operations. The ideal candidate is reliable and attentive to detail.

The position is on-site in New Era, Michigan. HomeTown Pharmacy is a privately owned pharmacy chain serving Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, with retail, long-term care, infusion, and home health care supply services.

Requirements

• 3–8+ years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or network engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure.
• Solid understanding of networking, including VPN, firewall configuration, routing, and WAN/LAN.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure; Azure is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliability and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Exposure to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Own and support key portions of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, and network systems.
• Independently administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure/AWS services.
• Support and maintain multi-site network connectivity, including VPNs, firewalls, routing, and site-to-site links.
• Lead implementation of infrastructure projects and changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues.
• Maintain system performance, uptime, and security standards.
• Support integration of pharmacy and business systems.
• Implement HIPAA-aligned security controls and operational procedures.
